Maryam Sarim – Co-Founder & Executive Chairperson

Maryam Sarim has varied experience in Banking spanning over 20+ years in Pakistan and the UK. She has worked across different functions including consumer banking, credit cards, product and brand management, retail banking,, public relations and compliance in Standard Chartered Bank, Habib Bank, Lloyds TSB UK and American Express Bank UK. In her last role with Habib Bank, she led the Center Head for Learning & Development based in Islamabad.

Maryam is the founder of the national charity ´Circle for a Cause´ and a trustee of the ´Swat Relief Initiative charity with her philanthropic interest focused on supporting initiatives on education, health and the disabled.

She has an MBA from IBA Karachi and an MS from Birkbeck College, London.

Moazzam Ahmed – Co-Founder & Board Member

Moazzam is a serial entrepreneur having founded CashNow a Fintech supply chain platform, Houndbyte an Ed tech company, Knocking Star the largest independent industrial additive suppliers in Pakistan and ScheduleXpress LLC, USA. Prior to founding instaenergy he was Senior country officer in Pakistan for the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a World Bank organization for the 12 years. He led the the Karachi office for IFC in addition to managing IFC portfolio companies in the manufacturing sector. Moazzam has also been involved in conducting transactions in MENA and Africa regions.

Prior to IFC, Moazzam was a consultant with E&Y for over 10 years, with their Chicago office. He was involved with EY’s strategy division and involved in developing strategies for Fortune 50 Pharmaceutical companies in the US.

He has an MBA from Duke University and a B.A in Economics from the College of Wooster.

Syed Azam Javaid – Chief Operating Officer

A well-rounded professional and a accomplished business leader with over 25 years of commercial experience in multiple industries. Has has worked in the MNC sector and in the local sector from lubricants to ceramics and then from packaging to beverages.
