Why Solar is a Smart Investment

1) Invest Smart in Solar

If you are thinking of switching to solar, do not consider it a large expense. Think of the massive savings you incur month after month. Consider this decision as a prudent and secure investment with a payback period ranging from 1-4 years depending on the size of your system.

2) Electricity For Free

Going solar is one of the smartest decisions you can make. A solar energy system drastically reduces electricity bill and if managed, can even bring it down to zero. Net metering policy of the government enables consumers to sell excess generation of their system to the grid, resulting on monthly cost savings. Our solar engineers can guide you best to manage your electricity load and minimise your electricity bills.

3) Farewell to Escalating Electricity Costs

Smart investment into solar technology will protect you from future rises in power costs. From low energy costs to almost no energy costs, you will be protected against potentially massive power bills & cumulative tariffs. Our systems aim to provide you with lowest levelized cost of energy (LCOE) which describes the cost of the power produced by solar system over a period of time. It is typically the warranted life of the system, considering the power degradation factor of Solar Panels. Essentially, LCOE is breaking down the cost of solar into the same terms that you pay on electric bill every month. i.e. cost per electricity unit (kWh). By purchasing solar, you are essentially creating a hedge against rising utility costs by fixing the per kWh rate at a known cost in perpetuity (25 Years).

4) Increase your Property Value

Recent research indicates that the residential and commercial property owners who have adopted solar, have increased the valuation of their property as compared to other homeowners. Solar investment on your home increases the valuation of your property.

5) Power cuts are the thing of Past

With hybrid solar power systems, lights are always ON. Power cuts are no longer a source of constant pain. Battery storage enables you to store excess power generated by your system to be used in power breakdowns. If you want to enjoy the luxury of uninterrupted supply opt for a solar hybrid system.

6) Be a Climate Change Ambassador

One of the pivotal impacts of going solar is the massive reduction in CO2 emissions, the main cause of climate change. Not only are you generating reliable energy for yourself that saves you money, you are endorsing cleaner and greener energy that’s saving the earth.

Debunking Common Myths about Solar Energy

There is a paradigm shift in the way the world has changed in its focus and thinking on how we use energy. The world leaders, company heads and residential consumers have started to realise that the conventional high priced grid energy system is not only more expensive but also harmful for the planet.

We have entered the Decade of Action; the world has pledged to meet sustainable goals of becoming carbon neutral by 2030. This means that the governments will curtail projects using traditional fossil fuels and move on to more economic and clean energy, solar energy. As part of the Paris Agreement, the government of Pakistan has also announced that Pakistan aims to create 60% of its local energy demand by using renewable resources by 2030 to alleviate the risk of climate change. While there is a global and local shift towards using solar energy, it is about time that we debunk few common myths that keep consumers from investing into solar.

Myth 1: It is an Expensive Investment!

It is widely believed that putting a solar system is an expensive investment and requires a large sum of money. At Instaenergy, we are committed to working closely with the customer in gauging the right size for their residential or commercial project and optimising their system. Switching to Solar provides an attractive return on Investment (ROI) with payback period ranging from 1-4 years. Net-metering facility offered by Government of Pakistan, can help consumers significantly reduce their electricity bills. In the months where consumption is lower than generations, consumers may even receive a credit bill.

Myth 2: It does not work in Winter Months!

This is the biggest myth of all. It is widely believed that if Solar Panels generate energy from the sun, how will they work in winter months. The reality is, that solar panels only use LIGHT energy and not dependent on heat of the sun. The light energy is created by Kinetic energy, using Photons. Rest assured solar panels will generate light energy even in the winter months with zero disruptions.

Myth 3: It requires High Maintenance!

Solar systems do not require high maintenance. Trained engineers will guide you through the straight-forward monitoring process while easy to use remote monitoring app on your phone will enable you to monitor performance of your system. Instaenergy provides post sales and Operations & Maintenance service to ensure your system performs efficiently.

Myth 5: Solar Panels do not work in Cloudy Conditions?

This is again a myth that solar panels do not work in cloudy weather. Energy will still be generated however cloudy weather may impact amount of energy generated during that time. Pakistan enjoys 300+ sunny days in a year making it most ideal for solar installations.

Myth 6: Solar systems do not work at night, so it is of no use.

While it is true that your solar system will not work at night, it will still work in your favour. Your system will work in the day to generate electricity and consume, not taking units from the grid. Whatever extra units are produced, go to the grid (export units) because of bi-directional meter installed with your system. At night this process is reversed. Your house takes units from the grid (import units). At the end of the month, if you exported more units to the grid and imported less, you will have a credit bill.

Myth 7: Solar Systems do not work in a power black-out and/or load shedding.

Whilst on-grid (battery less) systems do not work in power black outs, hybrid system (battery supported) will work when electricity supply is interrupted. It is completely a customers’ choice of which system he prefers.
